Wedding Trends – Garden-Inspired Florals

garden-inspired

In the first of a series on 2017 wedding trends, lets talk about garden-inspired florals for your big day. Whether you’re using real flowers in your decor or artificial ones like these, the colors and textures of your flowers can really transform your space.  Brides Magazine says garlands, organic flowers and centerpieces inspired by real gardens are going to be appearing in weddings this year – let’s take a look at how you can achieve this too!

These wooden centerpieces (10 boxes for $95 USD) are large enough to hold a great variety of gorgeous blooms!  Mix and match the textures to really make them pop.

Speaking of textures, check-out the dimension on this bouquet!  Unbelievably gorgeous and can you believe…these flowers are artificial! (bridal bouquet $175 USD) This Bride took the bouquet all the way to Aruba and back to Chicago and it still looks perfect.

Who says your flowers have to look traditional?  This couple used a galvanized tin to display this arrangement of vertical blooms and other more earthy herbs to create these gorgeous centerpieces.  I love the look of these! (the sign in the photo is for sale…only $20! USD!)

Could we get more garden-inspired than a collection of blooms resting on a log?!  Seriously..so pretty and earthy – looks like these flowers were just picked! The addition of the wheat stalks are really beautiful too – I wonder if this couple comes from a place where prairies are in abundance like I do? (the votive holders on the table in this photo are for sale – gold and ivory mercury, only $2 USD each)

Lindsay Recknell

Lindsay Recknell co-founded Wedding Recycle out of pure necessity…the fifteen centerpiece vases on the living room floor had got to go! But finding a targeted audience to sell them to was the tricky part – not just anyone wanted fifteen fish bowls for their home. Thus Wedding Recycle was born – a place to connect with other new newlyweds and recently engaged couples, sharing ideas, and décor, with each other. Lindsay has always been an entrepreneur, a multi-dimensional self-starter prone to acts of randomness and dynamic ventures in her life. In addition to consulting as a data analyst during her “day job”, Lindsay’s role at Wedding Recycle is everything – business development, content creation, media correspondent and community liaison. If you contact Wedding Recycle, it’s likely you’ll get a response from Lindsay first and from that moment, you’ll understand and experience the passion, dedication, joy and motivation she has for the Wedding Recycle community and the wedding industry itself.
